Common Questions
How old does my child need to be to attend Summer Blast?
Summer Blast is for children ages 5-11. Children must be 5 years old by the first day, June 9, 2025 to participate.
Can my child be in the same group with friends?
Yes; you will be given the option to request your child to be in the same group as a friend during the online registration process. Please understand that our team will do their best to accommodate requests, but they are not guaranteed.
My child needs special accommodations during Summer Blast. What is available for them?
At Summer Blast we are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment that allows ALL children to engage. Our Champions Club exists to share the love of Christ by assisting children needing special accommodations to become full participants and contributors in the body of Christ. If your child needs special accommodations during Summer Blast, there is a place to select this in the registration and our Team will reach out to you to discuss details about how we can serve you.
What do I do to check-in when I arrive with my child?
We will begin checking children in at 8:00 AM each day in the Living Room. On the first day your child will receive his/her T-shirt and Team assignment. It is not necessary to bring your online confirmation form with you.
At 8:45 AM, you may then take your child to the designated seating area in the Main Auditorium for his/her Team and meet your child’s Team leader.
Will childcare be provided before or after Summer Blast?
Childcare is not provided before or after Summer Blast. Auditorium doors open at 8:45 AM each morning, and the program will end each day at 12:00 PM. Please be prompt when picking up your child.
When will my child receive their t-shirt?
T-shirts will be given out the first day of Summer Blast.
Can my child just meet me outside at the end of the morning?
You must come pick your child up in their Color/Team area (same location where you drop off in the Main Auditorium) at 12:00 PM each day. You must present your child’s security ticket to their Team leader. You will then need to show your security ticket AGAIN at the exit doors, so please keep your ticket with you. If you have designated someone else to pick up your child, you will need to notify staff at check in and the person picking up will need the child’s security code.
Will lunch or snacks be served during Summer Blast?
Snacks will be served each day. Lunch will not be provided. If your child has a food allergy, please indicate their allergy in the Medical notes area of the registration form.
My child has an Epi Pen. How should I send it to Summer Blast?
Please send your child’s Epi Pen in a plastic zip top bag with their first and last name and allergen written on it to the first day of Summer Blast. Please give the Epi Pen to the staff member checking you in that morning. You will need to sign a release form to authorize Rez Staff to use in the event it is needed. It will be held by the medical staff on site during the event who will be readily available at all times.
My child has a rescue inhaler. How should I send it to Summer Blast?
Please send your child’s rescue inhaler (and spacer, if needed) in a plastic zip top bag with their first and last name written on it to the first day of Summer Blast. Please give the rescue inhaler to the staff member checking you in that morning. It will be held by the medical staff on site during the event who will be readily available at all times.
My child has a food allergy. What should I do?
We want to support your family with excellence at Summer Blast and want you to help us decide what your child can safely eat. During registration, you will be given the option to indicate that your child has a food allergy.
Will you be able to administer any medication to my child during Summer Blast?
Thank you for understanding that we will not be able to administer any over the counter or prescription medications during Summer Blast, except in the case of an Epi Pen or a rescue inhaler because these are lifesaving medications.
Snacks will be served each day. Lunch will not be provided. If your child has a food allergy, you will be given the option to indicate their allergy during the registration process.
